The cage is easy to clean, as it simply lifts off the bottom, and the sides are high enough so the hamster can't pee over them. The end clips are a little awkward, I had a similar cage for rats in the past, and it had spring hooks on the ends. Perhaps that is something for the manufacturer to consider.
