I have two dwarfs and this cage is pretty neat. There are three stories to it and each level can be however you want it to be. The squares connect to the back of the cage, and the wheel has the same connector, so you can design it how you want.
The only main issues, for me, were that one of the squares was not made correctly, leaving me having to tape it together; however, it really was not a big deal. The big issue was the fact that the manufacturer claims that Habitrail/CritterTrail tubes and accessories fit on the two holes provided for "added fun". They do not fit well! I had a CritterTrail wheel connected on the outside and while one of the hammies were running, the wheel flew off onto the ground! Luckily, no injuries or escapes! The ring connector fits on the hole, but you have to twist it to lock it in place. However, a quick twist again will unlock it (something I did not realize at the time). Tape came to the rescue again, and with just a little on the bottom to keep the ring in place, it will not twist -- allowing you to safely connect the tubing or a wheel to it.
This cage is a great size, small enough to fit on a little end table or such, yet tall enough for allowing the hamsters to have more space. I personally have mine connected to the Super Pet CritterTrail Two-Level Habitat, as well as the Super Pet CritterTrail Burrowing Maze. BUT it is a big enough cage for it to be by itself -- I just like having a "super duplex" for my hammies.
